Unless you are quick about starting the cast on a target that just mounted, you are unlikely to knock anything out of the sky outside of farming people afk on their flying mount, stupidly low to the ground. The distance between ground and maximum sky height is many times that at the lowest points, and flight speeds surpassing 300% mean you traverse that distance and perhaps more in the time it takes to cast it. A range of 100 yards is unbelievably low even if the item was instant-cast.
This tool is amazing in low-roofed subterranean zones in which you can fly! Soaring through the inevitably line-of-sight blocking stalagmites and stalactites in this fictional zone has never been less dangerous knowing that the bloodthirsty hunters swarming the ground floor will all have their nets pointed at you menacingly without any hope of hitting you! Nevermind that this scenario is completely nonexistent in this game - think of the possibilities!Īlright, sarcasm aside. The very short cooldown of 10 seconds makes it a perfect tool for knocking down a full ganking party of one whole person, and initiating engaging duels against the easy targets that are AFK in the sky that will succumb to your powerful, oppressive gaze as a force far greater than you - gravity, that is - ends those unsuspecting victims too stupid to hold the space-bar for an additional two seconds before running to the bathroom without so much as granting you an honorable kill.
Given that, assuming the enemy survives the fall with one of many tools available to most classes and several professions, you can begin the chase of a true predator as they become untrackable amidst the jungles of Zuldazar for a full few seconds before combat drops and they fly away behind the canopy.
Not only is the range INSANE(ly low), the dismount puts the user in combat - in the unlikely chance they can finish the 3-second cast time before the enemy has already flown out of range. Comment by KorkolBehold, the useless "solution" to flying in War Mode!
